Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care to acute care patients, assisting with activities of daily living and promoting comfort and dignity.
- Monitor and report vital signs, patient status, and changes in condition to the nursing team, ensuring timely interventions.
- Support patients with mobility, transfers, and positioning to help them maintain independence and prevent complications.
- Document care provided accurately and promptly to support seamless continuity of care.
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and providers to create a positive and healing environment.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care space while adhering to infection control standards.
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Oklahoma.
- Current BLS/CPR certification, American Heart Association preferred.
- Compassionate, reliable, and adaptable to changing patient needs.
- Previous experience in acute care, hospital, or skilled nursing setting is a plus.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of basic patient care principles and infection control practices.
- Ability to accurately take and record vital signs.
- Comfort using electronic health records (EHR) or a willingness to learn.
- Capability to lift, transfer, and position patients safely using proper body mechanics.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine passion for helping others.
