Location: York, Maine

Start Date: 06-08-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 4 - 10 hour days, start times will vary, occasional calls

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $35 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Process and sterilize all OR and departmental instrumentation to keep surgeries running smoothly
Clean and test all sterilizers daily to maintain top-notch safety standards
Create pre-packaged instruments for specific procedures, making life easier for the surgical team
Set up case carts for OR cases so everything is ready when it counts

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Certified technician preferred
Knowledge of hospital instruments is a plus
At least 1 year of experience in sterile processing
Must comply with Maine's influenza vaccination requirement (medical exemptions accepted upon approval)

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

Sterilization techniques and best practices
Instrument processing and handling
Case cart setup and organization
Sterilizer maintenance and daily testing
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
