Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the interventional cardiology team during cardiac catheterization and other invasive procedures to deliver safe, high-quality care
• Operate and manage fluoroscopy/X-ray equipment (Philips and Siemens) precisely and safely during procedures
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field and procedural equipment, ensuring readiness for each case
• Monitor and document patient status before, during, and after procedures using EMR systems (Meditech and MacLab)
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to coordinate patient flow and optimize procedure efficiency
• Educate and mentor junior staff and new travelers to promote best practices and team cohesion
• Support quality improvement initiatives and adhere to unit policies and radiation safety protocols

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required
• RCIS required (panning x-ray table experience noted)
• BLS and ACLS current and active
• Interventional cardiac cath lab experience (position requires hands-on interventional experience)
• Familiarity with Meditech and MacLab documentation systems
• Comfortable working with Philips and Siemens imaging equipment
• Minimum: 1 year of relevant experience in a cath lab or interventional setting

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization and cath lab procedures (LHC, PCI, PVI, PPM, EPS)
• Skilled in interventional procedures and fluoroscopy/X-ray operation
• Experience supporting neuro and IR cases is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot imaging equipment and assist with procedural setup
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Competence in aseptic technique, radiation safety, and procedural documentation
