Location: Lanham, Maryland

Start Date: 07-10-2026

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Flexible shifts, including 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (evening shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $17 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate daily care to geriatric patients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist with mobility and transfers to ensure patient safety
Monitor vital signs and report changes to nursing staff
Support patients with meals and hydration
Maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents
Collaborate with the care team to promote patient well-being

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification in Maryland
Current CPR certification preferred
Previous experience in long-term care or rehabilitation is a plus
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption required

Knowledge & Skills

Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
Basic understanding of geriatric care principles
Time management and adaptability
