Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, every other weekend and every other holiday; must be willing to float between Mercy Main and West Des Moines
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $55 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional cardiac nursing care to patients in a dynamic hospital setting
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, administer medications, and manage patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions and treatment plans
- Respond to emergencies and stabilize critical patients with swift, skilled interventions
- Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to hospital protocols
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Iowa
- BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year of recent cardiac nursing experience preferred
- Ability to float between facilities and adapt quickly to new environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Knowledge & Skills
- Cardiac rhythm interpretation and monitoring
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
- NIH Stroke Scale certification
- Proficiency in electronic health records
- IV therapy and medication administration
