Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location: Redding, CA

Shift Type: Various shifts available including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour shifts. Mid shifts start at 9 AM or 10:45 AM. Call coverage required 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately one weekend per month.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $69.56 - $51.8 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist in a variety of surgical procedures including ortho, general, vascular, neuro/spine, ENT, and trauma
Prepare and maintain the sterile field and surgical environment
Monitor patient vitals and provide critical care during surgery
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR team for optimal patient outcomes
Document patient care accurately in Cerner EMR system

Qualifications

Active California RN license required
Minimum of 2 years experience in a hospital Main OR setting
Strong experience with total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Cerner EMR experience preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient in sterile techniques and surgical assisting
Knowledge of Phillips telemetry and ventilator management
Ability to handle high-stress situations in a Level 2 trauma center
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
