Location: Waterloo, Iowa

Start Date: 07-20-2026

End Date: 01-11-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Night shift, 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM, every third weekend and holidays (including Labor Day); start times may vary

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients of all ages
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients in a fast-paced ED environment
Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient responses
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to optimize outcomes
Document patient care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Educate patients and families on discharge instructions and follow-up care

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS, PALS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (must be current)
At least 1-2 years of recent Emergency Department experience
Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Proficiency in emergency procedures and trauma care
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Comfortable with electronic medical records and documentation
