Location: Des Moines, IA

End Date: 10-17-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, every other weekend and every other holiday; includes July 3 and 4 required work days

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide exceptional, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor and interpret vital signs, lab results, and advanced hemodynamics
Administer medications and treatments with precision and compassion
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and adjust care plans
Support and educate patients and families during their most challenging moments

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications (all required)
Minimum 1-2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
Ability to work night shifts and every other weekend/holiday

Knowledge & Skills

Strong critical thinking and assessment skills in high-acuity settings
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Proficiency in using electronic health records and monitoring equipment
Ability to stay calm and focused under pressure
