Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate speech-language therapy to patients in a rehab setting
• Assess, diagnose, and treat communication and swallowing disorders
• Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients regain independence
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic patient care
• Document patient progress and adjust therapy as needed
• Educate patients and families on therapeutic techniques and strategies

Qualifications

• Active California Speech Language Pathologist license (or ability to obtain before start)
• Graduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred, but new grads welcome to apply
• Previous experience in a rehab or skilled nursing setting is a plus
• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong assessment and diagnostic skills for speech and language disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with patients and families
• Ability to create engaging and effective therapy sessions
• Knowledge of Medicare and insurance documentation requirements
• Team player who collaborates well with nurses, PTs, and OTs
