Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, Night shift, Every other weekend and every other holiday (EOW/EOH)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
Monitor patient vitals, administer medications, and manage ventilators
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency protocols
Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery processes
Maintain accurate documentation and uphold the highest standards of patient safety

Qualifications

Active RN license in Iowa or compact state
Minimum 1 year of recent ICU experience preferred
Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
TNCC and NIHSS certifications required
Strong critical thinking and communication skills
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in cardiac monitoring, ventilators, and critical care procedures
Knowledge of ICU protocols, including sepsis management and stroke care
Proficiency with electronic health records and medication administration
Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
