Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on nursing care to residents and patients
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor patient status and report changes to the care team promptly
- Document care thoroughly and maintain accurate patient records
- Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and support staff to coordinate care
- Educate patients and families about care plans and follow-up needs
- Participate in infection control and safety protocols to protect everyone
- Respond calmly and effectively to urgent situations and emergencies
Qualifications
- Valid LPN license in Alabama (LPN required); Registered Nurses (RN) may also apply
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check and maintain required immunizations
- Strong clinical judgment, compassion, and good communication skills
- Comfortable working independently on night shifts and as part of a team
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma or equivalent credential required
- RN candidates should have an accredited ADN or BSN
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
- Medication administration and documentation accuracy
- Basic wound care and ADL assistance
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) or willingness to learn
- Infection control practices and safety protocols
- Teamwork, clear communication, and time-management skills
