Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert peri-procedural nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab and hybrid suites
• Monitor hemodynamics and device-supported patients (IABP, Impella) with vigilance and clinical judgment
• Assist the interventional team during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including heart catheterizations, peripheral procedures, and device implants
• Collaborate with scrub, circulate and monitor team members to ensure efficient, safe procedural flow
• Document care accurately in Meditech and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in STEMI program workflows and emergency cath activations with calm efficiency
• Support patient experience initiatives and follow AIDET communication principles

Qualifications

• Active Texas RN license required (temporary licenses will not be accepted)
• BSN required
• Minimum 2 years experience in an interventional CCL setting with STEMI program experience
• BLS and ACLS required
• Experience with IABP, Impella, vascular closure devices, CSI and laser atherectomy
• Meditech experience preferred
• Comfortable working 4 x 10-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities

Education

• BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with GE and Philips cath lab imaging and monitoring equipment
• Strong skills in hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Knowledge of cardiac devices and implantable cardiac rhythm management (PPM/ICD/CRT)
• Experience in PRE/PACU area workflows, CVICU and EP lab exposure is a plus
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and documentation skills
