Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care that helps residents feel safe, seen and respected
• Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake and output, and report changes to the nursing team
• Support nurses and therapists with treatments, transfers and patient positioning
• Keep residents comfortable and engaged through meaningful conversation and encouragement
• Maintain accurate charting and documentation that keeps the whole care team in sync
• Respond quickly and calmly to resident needs and call lights throughout your shift

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) license in Vermont, or compact eligibility
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
• Completed COVID-19 vaccination series or a documented religious or medical exemption from your employer
• Willingness to bring a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
• Prior long-term care, rehab or skilled nursing experience is a wonderful plus
• A warm, patient-first attitude and a genuine love for helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Strong understanding of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
• Clear, kind communication with residents, families and interdisciplinary teammates
• Solid time management skills for juggling multiple resident needs with grace
• Attention to detail when charting and reporting changes in condition
• Adaptability and a positive attitude in a fast-paced care environment
