Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm smile and get them comfortably seated for orthodontic visits
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments so every appointment runs smoothly
• Assist the orthodontist chairside during adjustments, banding, and wire changes
• Take dental radiographs and digital images to support accurate treatment planning
• Sterilize instruments and keep infection control standards rock solid
• Educate patients and families on braces care, retainers, and good oral hygiene habits
• Keep supplies stocked and treatment areas organized so nothing slows the team down

Qualifications

• Orthodontic certification is required for this role
• Dental assisting experience, ideally in an orthodontic setting
• Radiography or X-ray certification as required by the state of Maryland
• A genuine love for patient care and a calm, friendly chairside manner
• Strong teamwork skills and the ability to keep pace in a busy practice
• Reliable, detail oriented, and ready to jump in wherever you are needed
