Roles & Responsibilities

• Welcome patients with a warm smile and get them comfortably seated for treatment
• Prepare treatment rooms and set up instruments so every visit runs smoothly
• Assist the dentist chairside during exams, cleanings and restorative procedures
• Take and develop dental radiographs while keeping safety top of mind
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection control protocols to keep everyone safe
• Record patient histories, chart treatment notes and keep records organized
• Teach patients about oral hygiene and aftercare in a way that actually makes sense
• Keep supply levels stocked so the team never misses a beat

Qualifications

• Active Dental Assistant certification or registration for the state of Wisconsin
• Current CPR and BLS certification
• Radiology or dental radiograph certification where required
• Previous chairside dental assisting experience is a big plus, but new grads with the right attitude are welcome
• High school diploma or equivalent
• A friendly, patient focused approach and a knack for calming nerves

Knowledge & Skills

• Chairside assisting and four handed dentistry techniques
• Dental radiography and X-ray safety practices
• Infection control and sterilization standards
• Dental charting and practice management software familiarity
• Strong communication skills with patients of all ages
• Teamwork, reliability and a positive attitude
• HIPAA awareness and patient confidentiality
