Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform blood draws, injections, child immunizations, lab tests, and other procedures within your Medical Assistant scope of practice
• Assist physicians during examinations by taking blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration
• Prepare patients for exams and treatments and guide them comfortably to and from exam rooms
• Keep exam rooms spotless and fully stocked so every patient visit runs smoothly
• Take and return patient phone calls as directed by the physician
• Deliver clear instructions and education to patients as directed by the physician
• Maintain medical records by completing referral forms, lab slips, and other important documentation
• Requisition supplies to keep the practice running at full strength
• Support nursing procedures and assist in other areas as requested by the Manager or Clinical Coordinator
• Collaborate as a flexible, dependable member of a close-knit care team

Qualifications

• At least 2 years in a formal Medical Assistant curriculum or special training for Medical Assistants
• At least 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical setting
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant, required and documented
• Current BLS Certification, required and documented
• Local candidates are strongly preferred for this role
• A caring nature, calm presence under pressure, and genuine enjoyment of working with patients
• Emotional stability and a strong commitment to confidentiality and discretion
