Roles & Responsibilities

• Dispatch yourself for the day or check in with the dispatch department, then head out to your first case
• Deliver mobile ultrasound services to nursing homes, home care facilities, prisons and processing sites throughout the region
• Unload portable sonographic equipment at each facility and perform exams ordered by the physician
• Capture clinically diagnostic, technically competent images and send them digitally to a Radiologist for interpretation
• Verify every order against the patient's chart before scanning, because accuracy always comes first
• Confirm two patient identifiers and document the nurse in charge when a patient cannot identify themselves
• Stay connected by checking voicemail and self-dispatching every thirty minutes and responding to urgent communication within fifteen minutes
• Maintain your vehicle and sonographic equipment, scan daily paperwork and billing, and represent the company professionally in uniform
• Train other technologists and keep growing your knowledge of the field, disease and new procedures

Qualifications

• Registered with ARDMS or CCI for vascular ultrasound
• General and Vascular modalities required, and ECHO experience is a wonderful plus
• Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound technology program
• A valid driver's license you can produce on demand
• COVID-19 vaccination required, or an approved exemption with proper documentation
• Current certifications and registries available to show whenever requested
• Medical physical examination, TB screening and annual infection control in-service
• Able to complete and pass a drug screen and background check
• Self-motivated, dependable and comfortable working independently with little to no direct supervision

Education

• operational requirements. It is the responsibility of the sonographer to
• provide a copy of such registries and/or diploma to the appropriate
• Trident Care personnel when requested. A sonographer should carry and be
• able to always provide credentials. [HIGHLY PREFERRED]
• Sonographer
• must always maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to produce the
• license on demand. It is the responsibility of the technologists to
• provide a copy of such license(s) and/or certificate(s) to the appropriate
• TRIDENTCARE personnel. All associates are subject to periodic driver’s
• license checks. [REQUIRED]
• Vaccination
• against COVID-19 is a requirement for all individuals. Alternatively,
• those seeking an exemption must submit proper documentation supporting
• their request. [REQUIRED]

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong ultrasound and sonography skills across general and vascular studies
• Comfort operating portable sonographic equipment and digitally transmitting images
• A sharp eye for patient identification best practices, no yes or no questions here
• Basic computer skills such as printing documents from attachments, scanning and attaching files to emails
• Confident smartphone operation for self-dispatching and staying in touch with dispatch
• Knowledge of applicable regions, local geography and travel routes
• A pleasant phone manner backed by strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Good organizational skills and a high standard of medical ethics
