Contract Type: Contract

Shift Type: Flexible shifts including 8-hour (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM), 10-hour, and 12-hour options with mids starting at 9:00 AM or 10:45 AM; weekend and holiday coverage provided by call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $48 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms and ensure all equipment and supplies are ready for each procedure
Assist surgeons during a wide variety of cases including CVOR, total joints, general, vascular, and spine surgeries
Maintain sterile technique and support the surgical team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care
Collaborate with the Clinical Supervisor and OR leadership to keep cases running smoothly
Respond to call coverage for weeknights and occasional weekends to support urgent cases

Qualifications

Current Surgical Tech certification or license as required by California
Strong hands-on experience with total joints, general surgery, vascular, and spine procedures
Proficiency with Cerner Surginet EMR system
Ability to take call 1-2 weeknights per week and approximately one weekend per month
Comfortable working in a fast-paced OR with a 1:1 ratio

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in CVOR procedures including CABG, valve replacements, pacemakers, and lead extractions
Familiarity with Phillips Telemetry monitoring
Knowledge of a broad range of surgical cases excluding transplant
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining sterile fields
Ability to adapt quickly to different specialties and case types
