Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality echocardiograms and diagnostic cardiac sonography procedures with precision and care.
• Prepare patients for exams, explain the process, and ensure their comfort throughout the procedure.
• Operate advanced ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of the heart, assisting in accurate diagnoses.
• Analyze images and collaborate with physicians to interpret results, contributing to patient treatment plans.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
• Work closely with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care in an acute care setting.

Qualifications

• RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) certification required.
• Current BLS certification essential.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography or cardiac sonography.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of echocardiography and sonography techniques.
• Proficiency with Allscripts charting system.
• Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
• Excellent patient communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate and maintain ultrasound equipment.
