Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly
- Help with mobility, repositioning, and safe transfers
- Provide compassionate companionship and emotional support to patients and families
- Report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
- Must successfully complete DHSS background check/fingerprinting through the Delaware Background Check Center
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented religious/medical exemption
- Ability to provide a valid state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge at all times
- A passion for delivering high-quality, compassionate care
Knowledge & Skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation
- Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Ability to respond calmly and quickly to patient needs
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
