Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment areas to ensure safety
- Take and process dental X-rays with care and precision
- Educate young patients and their families on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Support the smooth flow of the clinic by managing patient records and room turnover
- Collaborate with a friendly team to create a positive dental experience for kids
Qualifications
- Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent training and experience
- Experience working with children in a dental setting preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong communication skills and a warm, patient demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- X-ray certification or willingness to obtain it
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of dental instruments, materials, and sterilization protocols
- Skill in taking dental radiographs with proper safety measures
- Understanding of pediatric dentistry and child-friendly communication techniques
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency with dental practice management software
- Comfortable working as part of a close-knit team
