Roles & Responsibilities

• Implement personalized treatment plans under the guidance of a Physical Therapist
• Assist patients with therapeutic exercises to improve mobility and strength
• Document patient progress and adjust interventions as needed
• Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Provide compassionate care to help patients regain independence

Qualifications

• Active PTA license in Maryland or eligibility to obtain one
• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
• New graduates are encouraged to apply!
• CPR/BLS certification preferred
• Experience in skilled nursing or geriatric rehab is a plus
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic exercises and modalities
• Skills in patient assessment and documentation
• Understanding of SNF regulations and Medicare guidelines
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Compassion and patience with elderly patients
• Proficient with EHR systems
