Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during procedures and examinations
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
• Take and develop dental X-rays
• Provide patients with oral hygiene instructions
• Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
• Ensure the treatment room is clean and organized

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent experience
• Dental Assistant certification or license as required by Maryland state
• X-ray certification (Radiology)
• Orthodontic experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization techniques
• Understanding of orthodontic procedures and terminology
• Proficiency with dental software (e.g., Denticon)
• Patient care skills
• Attention to detail and organization
