Shift Type: Days, 10-hour shifts, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM; weekend coverage may be required based on department needs.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $76 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging procedures with precision and a patient-first mindset
  • Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity throughout the process
  • Operate and maintain advanced imaging equipment, including Phillips systems, following established protocols
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and the care team to deliver accurate diagnostic images that make a real difference in patient outcomes
  • Document procedures, patient history, and imaging results accurately in Cerner and PACS
  • Uphold strict radiation safety standards, including proper fluoro use, to protect patients and staff
  • Adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment and handle a variety of imaging studies, from routine X-rays to complex CT scans

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of CT/X-ray experience in a hospital or clinical setting
  • Active California CRT license and R-credential required - we'll help you shine!
  • Fluoroscopy license required - show us your skills!
  • BLS certification required to keep our patients safe
  • ARRT CT certification is a huge plus (but not required - we'd love to help you grow)
  • Experience with Cerner, PACS, and Phillips imaging equipment is preferred
  • Comfortable working in a Level 3 Trauma center and collaborating with a dynamic team

Knowledge & Skills

  • Solid understanding of CT, X-ray, and fluoroscopy imaging techniques
  • Proficiency in patient positioning, radiation safety, and image quality assessment
  • Comfort with electronic medical records (Cerner) and PACS
  • Strong communication skills to explain procedures and put patients at ease
  • A team-oriented attitude with the flexibility to support other imaging modalities when needed
  • Ability to stay calm and focused in urgent or high-acuity situations
