Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population including surgical and medical patients
• Monitor telemetry and interpret cardiac rhythms, confirming with monitor techs
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, with a focus on patient safety
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and discharge planning
• Float to various med/surg units as needed, adapting quickly to new environments
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC charting system

Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Dakota or compact state (NLC)
• Minimum of 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Current BLS certification required
• Telemetry experience preferred
• EPIC charting experience preferred
• Ability to float to different units and adapt quickly

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Knowledge of medical and surgical conditions, including CHF, CVA, and post-operative care
• Proficient in telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Skilled in EPIC electronic health records
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
