Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs, and report any changes to the nursing team promptly
• Help with meals, ensuring residents receive proper nutrition and hydration
• Assist with transferring and positioning to maintain comfort and prevent injury
• Document care provided accurately and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Be a attentive listener and emotional support for residents and their families

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
• Must have an active account with the DHSS Background Check Center (fingerprinting/background check)
• Documented COVID-19 vaccination or a valid religious/medical exemption
• State or federal issued ID and willingness to wear a photo badge at all times
• Ability to work per diem shifts as needed, including mornings starting at 7:00 AM

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with residents, families, and team members
• Attention to detail for accurate documentation and vital sign monitoring
• Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and supporting residents
• Compassionate and patient demeanor in all interactions
• Basic understanding of infection control and safety protocols
