Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
• Take and record vital signs, and report changes to nursing staff
• Support mobility and transfer residents safely
• Provide compassionate care and companionship to residents
• Keep the unit clean and stocked, and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure each resident's needs are met

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Delaware
• Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
• Must pass a DHSS background check and fingerprinting
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented exemption
• Ability to provide a state or federal issued ID and wear a photo badge
• Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus, but not required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable nature
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and documentation
• Physical stamina to assist with lifting and mobility
• Basic computer and charting skills
