Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure comfort and safety
- Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
- Support residents with meals and nutrition, ensuring dietary needs are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with the care team to deliver high-quality, person-centered care
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Delaware (or compact state if applicable)
- Current BLS/CPR certification
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
- Compassionate, reliable, and dedicated to patient dignity
- Ability to pass a background check and meet DE DHSS fingerprinting requirements
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of resident care techniques and safety protocols
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Attention to detail and observation skills
- Physical stamina to assist with lifting and mobility
