Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Three 12-hour night shifts per week, must work weekends, flexible schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver expert preoperative and postoperative care to surgical patients
Monitor vital signs and manage IV and PCA pumps with precision
Chart accurately using WOWS/EMR systems and Pyxis medication dispensing
Perform standard RPN III duties on a 34-bed adult surgical unit
Float to other units as needed to support the team
Maintain 1:5-6 nurse-to-patient ratios for quality care

Qualifications

Active Hawaii RN license required by start date (apply upon offer acceptance if needed)
BLS and ACLS certifications
At least 2 years experience in RPN III skills
Strong background in pre/postoperative nursing including abdominal surgeries, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, and drains

Education

Registered Nurse (RN) licensure

Knowledge & Skills

Proficient with vital signs machines, IV and PCA pumps
Experienced in WOWS/EMR charting and Pyxis systems
Skilled in surgical pre/postoperative care
