Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients on a medical-surgical/telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs, keeping a watchful eye on patient status
• Administer medications and treatments safely and on time
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide excellent care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Document patient care accurately and maintain a strong focus on patient safety

Qualifications

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
• Previous experience in med-surg, telemetry, or acute care nursing is a plus
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and environments

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Skill in cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Strong patient assessment and clinical documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Compassion and empathy for patients and their families
