Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating
• Take and record vital signs, and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
• Provide compassionate, respectful care and emotional support to residents
• Help with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for residents and staff
• Document care provided accurately and observe residents for changes in condition

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• COVID-19 vaccine required or documented religious/medical exemption
• Valid state or federal issued identification for registry personnel
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate effectively with the care team

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Compassion and patience when caring for elderly residents
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology and vital signs monitoring
• Good time management and organizational abilities
