Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care to residents in a skilled nursing setting
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring safety and accuracy
• Monitor and document patient vital signs and health status, communicating changes to the care team
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
• Educate patients and families on health management and care procedures
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and uphold all facility policies and regulations

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license in good standing in the state of Maine
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain)
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption, as required by facility policy
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Ability to pass a background check and comply with facility credentialing requirements

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of nursing care principles and best practices in geriatric or long-term care
• Medication administration and dosage calculation skills
• Comfort with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with residents, families, and team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced healthcare environment
