Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
- Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
- Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding, maintaining dignity and respect
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and team members
- Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, personalized care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Ability to pass a background check and meet facility requirements
- COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic patient care principles and practices
- Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs
- Understanding of infection control standards and safety protocols
- Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
- Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and assisting residents
