Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Take and record vital signs, promptly reporting any changes to nursing staff
• Support residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding, maintaining dignity and respect
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and team members
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, personalized care

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Current CPR/BLS certification
• Ability to pass a background check and meet facility requirements
• COVID-19 vaccination or documented medical/religious exemption
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate, patient, and dedicated to helping others

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and practices
• Proficiency in taking and recording vital signs
• Understanding of infection control standards and safety protocols
• Ability to follow care plans and instructions accurately
• Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities
• Physical stamina for standing, lifting, and assisting residents
