Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure safety and comfort
• Support residents during meals and monitor food and fluid intake
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free environment for residents and staff
• Communicate openly with the care team to ensure each resident's needs are met

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current CPR/BLS certification is a plus
• A caring, patient, and empathetic approach to working with the elderly
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is preferred, but new graduates are welcome

• Understanding of resident rights, dignity, and privacy
• Basic medical terminology and vital sign measurements
• Strong observation and reporting skills
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks
