Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to residents with daily activities including hygiene, mobility, and feeding
• Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes to the nursing team
• Support residents with dignity, respect, and patience
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment
• Assist nursing staff in implementing individualized care plans
• Engage with residents to promote social and emotional well-being

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Maine
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Must be able to provide a valid state or federal issued identification
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical/religious exemption required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy and patience when caring for others
• Understanding of basic patient care principles and safety protocols
• Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
• Teamwork and collaboration with nurses and other healthcare professionals
