Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to residents in a long-term care setting
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Take and record vital signs, and communicate any changes in condition to the nursing team
• Help residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning to maintain safety and comfort
• Document care provided accurately and promptly in accordance with facility policies
• Work as part of a collaborative team to create a welcoming and supportive environment

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Maine
• Current CPR/BLS certification or ability to obtain prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccination or an approved medical or religious exemption
• A state or federally issued ID and ability to wear a photo badge at all times
• Compassionate, dependable, and able to adapt to changing assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and accurate documentation habits
• Understanding of basic medical terminology and vital sign measurement
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent interpersonal skills with residents, families, and coworkers
• Flexibility to handle unexpected changes in schedule or resident needs
