Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to mothers and newborns during labor and delivery
Monitor fetal heart rate and maternal vital signs, intervening as needed
Assist with deliveries, including cesarean sections and emergency procedures
Educate and support families throughout the birthing process
Collaborate with a team of dedicated healthcare professionals to ensure safe outcomes
Document patient care accurately and maintain a calm, reassuring presence

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Connecticut or compact state
Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
AWHONN/Fetal Heart Monitoring certification required
Minimum of 1-2 years of Labor and Delivery experience preferred
Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in fetal monitoring and interpretation
Proficiency in maternal and neonatal assessment
Knowledge of delivery procedures and emergency protocols
Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
