Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Weekdays, flexible 8-hour or 10-hour shifts

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care for surgical patients throughout the perioperative process
Provide support, education, and direct care to patients, acting as a liaison between the surgical team and patient families
Work as a circulating nurse, scrub nurse, or assistant nurse based on experience and training
Collaborate with the entire surgical team using a multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Ensure comprehensive perioperative care including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years of perioperative nursing experience
Current RN licensure in good standing
Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
CNOR certification required
Experience with Cerner EHR system
Experience in gastroenterology/endoscopy, orthopedics, general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, ENT, and interventional pain management

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited RN program
BSN desired but not required

Knowledge & Skills

Perioperative nursing expertise
Cerner EHR proficiency
Surgical procedure knowledge in multiple specialties
Strong patient education and care coordination skills
Team collaboration and communication skills
