Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: On-call: Monday-Friday 3:30 PM - 7:00 AM, Saturday-Sunday 7:00 AM - 7:00 AM (24-hour on-call)

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Deliver direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients across the lifespan
Coordinate patient care with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure optimal outcomes
Direct and guide OR technicians and other personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards
Collaborate with other departments to provide a continuum of care and ensure efficient patient flow
Adhere to regulations, standards, and hospital policies and procedures
Participate in Performance Improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services

Qualifications

Current RN license in Missouri (Compact license accepted)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
DCI/BVP certification required
Open Heart experience preferred
Ability to pass Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam, Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening, and other required assessments

Knowledge & Skills

Peri-operative nursing expertise
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced surgical environment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
