Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Dayshift, 12-hour shifts, schedule determined by facility

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic renal conditions requiring dialysis
Manage medical-surgical patients with diverse healthcare needs, ensuring safety and comfort
Operate and monitor NxStage System One dialysis equipment with precision
Educate patients and families on dialysis procedures, self-care, and lifestyle adjustments
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
Precept and mentor new nursing staff, sharing best practices in dialysis and med-surg care

Qualifications

Must have current RN license in Hawaii or compact state
Minimum 2 years of recent experience as an inpatient Dialysis RN
Experience with Medical Surgical nursing required
Active certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and others as listed
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in dialysis procedures, including NxStage System One with Cartridge 500
Solid understanding of medical-surgical nursing principles
Experience in precepting and staff education
Proficiency in patient assessment, care planning, and documentation
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
