Shift Type: Option 1: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 5:30 PM (4x10-hour shifts); Option 2: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 2:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts); plus 10-15 on-call shifts per month for STEMI/Stroke coverage

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and hemodynamic status during procedures
• Administer medications and contrast agents as ordered
• Assist physicians with diagnostic and interventional cath lab procedures
• Respond to STEMI and stroke alerts with rapid, coordinated care
• Maintain sterile field and ensure patient safety at all times
• Document patient care accurately in electronic health records

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state (Nursys verified)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA preferred)
• NIHSS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab experience preferred
• Completion of Prime Basic Pharmacology Exam and Basic Rhythm Interpretation Screening
• Ability to pass a 10-panel drug screening and fit test

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and pharmacology
• Experience with DCI/BVP and hemodynamic monitoring
• Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment
