Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of sleep disorders testing, including setup and monitoring over 10-12 hour periods
• Operate and troubleshoot sleep lab equipment independently during overnight testing
• Score and evaluate polysomnograms to aid in diagnosis
• Educate patients and outreach accounts on sleep disorder diagnosis, equipment, and treatment
• Maintain a calm and supportive environment while providing culturally appropriate care
• Assist in maintaining sleep lab equipment and perform other duties as needed

Qualifications

• Current Montana Licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Nurse
• Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification from BRPT
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• Minimum 24 months experience in sleep disorder testing with routine EEG preferred
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an AMA approved school for respiratory care or nursing

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of polysomnography protocols and equipment
• Excellent patient communication and education skills
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues calmly and effectively
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Self-directed and able to complete tasks accurately and thoroughly
• Emotional intelligence and teamwork abilities in a busy healthcare setting
