Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Days; Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $67 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Perform accurate and complete patient assessments, coordinating interdisciplinary care
Administer chemotherapy, IV infusions, and blood transfusions with safety and precision
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, follow-up care, and pain management
Manage antineoplastic therapy following safety protocols and monitoring patient responses
Document thoroughly in the EMR and maintain clear communication with providers
Collaborate with the team to ensure a safe, efficient, and compassionate care environment

Qualifications

Current Illinois RN license (must be active)
BLS and ACLS certifications required
ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certified through the Oncology Nurse Society
Minimum 2 years of registered nurse experience preferred
Chemotherapy administration experience preferred
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and thrive in a fast-paced team environment

Knowledge & Skills

Expertise in IV therapy, chemotherapy administration, and blood transfusion administration
Strong patient assessment and medication management skills
Proficient in EMR navigation and documentation
Excellent communication and patient education abilities
Ability to adapt to changes and work independently with minimal supervision
