Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide critical respiratory care to a diverse patient population including neonates, infants, adults, and geriatrics
• Manage mechanical ventilation for patients with respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pneumonia, and ARDS
• Administer inhaled medications and noninvasive ventilation with precision
• Perform arterial punctures and assist with advanced therapies like inhaled nitric oxide and heliox
• Collaborate with the ICU, NICU, ER, and floor therapy teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Monitor and adjust ventilator settings using Drager v500, vn500, Evita XL, Carina, and Philips V60/V30

Qualifications

• Active state license as a Respiratory Therapist in Missouri (must be currently active)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in critical care and mechanical ventilation
• BLS/BCLS, RRT, and CRT certifications required
• NRP certification required if you have NICU experience
• Willingness to work night shifts and holidays as needed
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, multi-unit environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in mechanical ventilation and critical care management
• Proficiency with inhaled medications including LABA, LAMA, SABA, ICS, and surfactant
• Skilled in noninvasive ventilation and arterial puncture
• Familiarity with advanced therapies: inhaled nitric oxide and heliox
• Comfortable using Drager v500, vn500, Evita XL, Carina, and Philips V60/V30 equipment
• Strong patient assessment and prioritization skills
