Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care in the interventional radiology and cath lab settings
• Prepare patients and equipment for IR procedures, ensuring sterility and accurate setup
• Monitor hemodynamics and respond rapidly to changes during and after procedures
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Perform ACLS and BLS interventions when needed and lead emergency responses within scope
• Document assessments, interventions, and procedural information accurately in the patient record
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to emergency cases during nights and weekends

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license required
• Minimum experience in Interventional Radiology and/or Cath Lab procedures
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Familiarity with critical care settings such as ER or ICU
• On-call experience and willingness to work rotating weekends
• Certifications listed in the job: DCI/BVP and NIHSS preferred
• Ability to pass Prime drug screening, TB testing, fit test, and required immunizations
• Enrollment/verification through Nursys for license validation

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of interventional radiology and cath lab workflows and equipment
• Ability to monitor and interpret hemodynamic data and manage procedural complications
• Skilled in sterile technique, procedural prep, and post-procedure patient care
• Proficient in ACLS and BLS emergency protocols
• Effective communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural environments
• Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and quick decision-making during emergencies
• Familiarity with documentation standards and competency validation processes
