Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to diverse populations
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Monitor patient condition and promptly communicate changes to the care team
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and discharge plans
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and unit-based huddles

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (TX licensure or compact RN license recommended)
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical nursing experience (as stated in the job posting)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
• Advanced certifications (ACLS, PALS, specialty certs) encouraged where relevant
• Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize, and effective communication skills
• Ability to pass required background checks and comply with facility onboarding

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid assessment skills and sound clinical decision-making
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems and accurate documentation
• Medication administration and IV therapy competence
• Patient and family education with clear, compassionate communication
• Teamwork, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings
• Infection control practices and commitment to patient safety
