Shift Type: Night, 3x12-hour shifts per week, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (rotating D/N contract may include days; shift assignments reviewed every 4 weeks; weekends variable)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to adult and geriatric oncology and PCU patients in a high-acuity setting
- Monitor telemetry and intervene promptly for dysrhythmias and other cardiac events
- Administer and manage IV therapies, blood products, arterial lines, PICCs and central lines safely
- Deliver chemotherapy and monitor patients according to protocol when applicable
- Implement infection prevention protocols and fall-prevention strategies to keep patients safe
- Participate in rapid response/code team activities and escalation processes as needed
- Document care accurately and timely in Epic to ensure continuity and legal compliance
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social work) to coordinate excellent patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active RN license (state of practice) required
- Minimum 2+ years of high-acuity PCU level or higher experience within the last 3 years, with at least 1 year of current specialty experience for clinical pass
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience with Epic charting required
- Prior telemetry/PCU experience with 1:3–1:4 patient ratio experience preferred
- Travel experience preferred/required for this contract role
- Comfort with managing complex lines and devices (PICC, arterial lines, chest tubes, trach care)
Education
- Active RN license required; BSN preferred (if mentioned, otherwise RN acceptable)
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- High-acuity PCU and medical-surgical oncology nursing
- Chemo administration and monitoring fundamentals
- IV therapy, blood product administration, central/PICC line management
- Airway support skills including tracheostomy care and HFNC
- ABG interpretation and respiratory support knowledge
- Wound care and use of Wound Vac
- Infection prevention practices and fall mitigation strategies
