Location: Grand Island, Nebraska

End Date: 09-21-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM with 1 night per week on call and every 5th or 6th weekend on call

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide expert perioperative nursing care across multiple surgical specialties
Collaborate with surgical teams in neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, GYN, and general procedures
Support robotic-assisted surgeries using the Da Vinci system
Float to pre/post-op, PACU, and ER trauma when needed
Maintain flexibility with varied daily surgical schedules
Educate and mentor fellow team members while fostering a culture of safety

Qualifications

Active RN license with BLS and ACLS certifications
Strong experience in neurosurgery and all major surgical service lines
Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher
Valid driver's license for radius verification
Willingness to comply with artificial nail policy

Knowledge & Skills

Comprehensive knowledge of neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, and general surgical procedures
Familiarity with Da Vinci robotic systems
Experience in pre/post-op care and PACU
Ability to handle ER trauma cases
Strong teamwork and adaptability skills
Commitment to patient safety and continuous learning
