Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms on telemetry units, identifying and responding to changes
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as ordered by physicians
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
• Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate concerns to the healthcare team

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Previous med-surg or telemetry experience preferred but not required
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environment
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of medical-surgical nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency in telemetry monitoring and basic ECG interpretation
• Skilled in IV insertion, medication administration, and patient assessment
• Strong documentation and electronic health record (EHR) skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
