Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and assess patient conditions, recognizing subtle changes and responding quickly
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation, upholding the highest standards of care
• Respond to emergencies and support life-saving interventions with confidence and composure

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
• Minimum of 1-2 years of recent ICU experience preferred
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required
• ACLS certification required for ICU
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Strong critical thinking and assessment skills
• Ability to work flexible per diem shifts, including weekends as needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and best practices
• Proficiency with ventilators, hemodynamic monitoring, and IV therapy
• Strong patient assessment and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Basic computer skills for electronic health records (EHR)
